Pond Liners
by admin
Here you can see us putting down the liner for the pond. Each end of the liner is stretched across a trench on either side of the pond - the trench will later be back-filled with heavy sand to secure it in place. Once the liner has been unrolled, we have to unfold the four 6 ft. sections that make it wider.

After we have a few sections of liner down, they need to be joined together. Here you can see the "hot shoe" in action - this machine acts like a very hot iron that melts the two pieces of liner together to form a watertight seal.

Once the pieces of the liner are sealed together, we bring out the skid loader and the bulldozer to fill the trenches with sand to secure the liner in place.

Presto! Our pond liner is now finished and we will start filling it with water next week
